A taste of home

We are almost into the final 3 weeks of the study.  We have agreed to an extra week of 16 hours in the room.  We figured we might as well since changing to 8 hour days will not change the situation.  It is not like we will suddenly have cars and will be able to do whatever we want.

I think the biggest thing dragging everyone down is the food. This is the longest period that any one group has stayed here so we are getting repeats of every meal.  Everyone is looking for that little taste of home.  The Danes have been getting delicious black licorice sent which, thankfully, they share. I have received a few things from Annie and today I had a great cup of tea.  It reminded me of the fall and sitting down with a warm cup after a cool, fall, bike ride.
The researches have been pretty good as of late in recognizing this.  They did buy quite a few jars of pasta sauce and pesto which helps with the bland noodles we are served.  Peter, one of the researchers, was just in Minnesota to visit his girlfriend in Rochester and brought back a taste of home.  He showed up with maple syrup and peanut butter.
Wow, goooood PB
Testing is going again in full force so people were in and out all day.  I cleaned up my bike and switched out tires for Euro cross part 2 tomorrow.  Russell and I are headed up to Epenoy for another French cx race.
